Neutrasafe - DNUCondensate neutralizers are amazing tools, but only if you know how to use them. Without proper installation and regular maintenance, acidic wastewater can enter your pipes or drains as well as the local water supply.

Acidic wastewater can cause serious damage to your facility and kill your lawn, landscaping or other living things outside. Therefore, it’s important you take action. With a little bit of knowledge, you can prevent a worst-case scenario from taking place.

To make inspection and maintenance a little easier, we’ve compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions. Keep reading to learn more.

1.) How often should I service my condensate neutralizer?

At Neutra-Safe, we recommend scheduling condensate neutralizer maintenance annually. If you want to save yourself time and energy, schedule service at the same time you would maintenance on your high-efficiency gas-powered furnace or boiler. You can do this any time of year, but in the late fall, just before winter, is usually best.

2.) Why are there pebbles in my condensate neutralizer?

Our line of clear condensate neutralizers allows you to see the condensate media without opening up the unit itself. This is a great feature, but for new users, it can also cause alarm. As the media in the tube neutralizes, mineral salts are left behind. Depending on the minerals in the gas and combustion air, these salts can be blue, green, red or brown. If you notice salts in your condensate neutralizer, don’t worry. It simply means that your neutralizer is working as it should.

3.) Why should I choose a Neutra-Safe condensate neutralizer over the competition?

There are several reasons to choose a Neutra-Safe condensate neutralizer over the competition, including:

  • Clear tube so you can see what’s going on inside
  • A proprietary blend of media that prevents clogging
  • All of our units are refillable
  • Each unit has patent-pending unions, making them easy to recharge
